Bikefest 2026
This is only the second bikefest, raising money for the local Air Ambulance. A little
different for me as mainly modern bikes. During the afternoon there were a great
set of bands, starting with a great young band, while mainly covers they were cracking.
There was a small area for vendors, and right at the back the tent for charity ,but
no bike show as such, though there were a few nice bikes.
With the event starting at midday, the odd bit was a rideout planned to the pub where
the marshals left around 12.30 for Rykas and not returning until nearly 4 with around
250 bikes. This left the bike park fairly empty and several people rode in and out
again as looked as though empty. Maybe they should if run it again try to get the
ride out to the venue around 1.30
After quite a wait the ride out returned and it was an impressive site.
After this sadly my legs and back couldn’t stand anymore,
